PTO Updates

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • We are in need of extra hands to pull off two new spring events. A Talent Show and a Science Fair! Please email president.seatonpto@gmail.com to join the fun! Stinger Showcase and Science Fair.

Seaton Coat Drive:

  • Through a few conversations with Principal Torres and various teachers, we’ve been made aware that one occasional barrier to classes getting outside for recess is the lack of appropriate outerwear for some students. We offered to work as a community to execute a coat drive/collection effort so that a variety of warm winter coats and jackets would be available. The plan is to provide a rolling rack with hangers and initial supply of coats, and then to refresh the collection as needed over the years. We already have a rolling rack that’s been donated and hangers have been purchased, so we’re reaching out for help with the coat collection efforts.
  • Request: New and used warm coats and jackets in sizes 3T through youth XL (16-18). The biggest needs are for sizes 5T/XS/S/M as those represent the largest classes.
  • Collection: Ben Varquez, a Seaton parent, will be in front of school the following days from 8:15am – 8:45am to collect coats and jackets: Wed 3/13, Mon 3/18, Wed 3/20
  • If you’re unable to do a drop-off on one of those days but have coats you’d like to donate, please contact Ben Varquez directly at varquez.ben@gmail.com or (202) 230-9953
