Cafeteria Update from Our Cafeteria Manager, Mr. Lee!
Seaton Elementary Parents!
My name is Mr. Lee, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Cafeteria Manager at Seaton Elementary. I’m very happy to be here and look forward to providing your children with delicious, nutritious, and enjoyable meal options.
I’ve also been listening to some of the feedback from our school community. Please know that we are working behind the scenes to address concerns and make improvements that will provide the best possible experience for our students.
I wanted to share a few slight adjustments to this week’s menu:
- The pollock fish nuggets will be replaced with cheeseburgers, and the vegetable option will be veggie burgers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Warm regards – Mr. Lee + Cafeteria Team

PTO Updates!
Seaton Families,
Thanks to everyone who came out to last week’s PTO meeting! We had a great turnout, the kids had fun in childcare, and we heard some great updates on Seaton, including our outstanding growth in test scores (2nd and 3rd highest growth in all of DCPS for ELA and math!) You can view the presentation here. We also post minutes of our PTO meetings to our website, here: https://seatondc.org/pto/.
Afterschool Clubs
Afterschool clubs start next week! There is still space in Wednesday chess club (K-5) and Monday/Wednesday Girls on the Run (3-5). All info and sign up details here: https://seatondc.org/afterschool-enrichment/. Please reach out to seatonptoenrichment@googlegroups.com with any questions! And if you have received a spot in a teacher-led club, please consider a donation to help offset the cost for these PTO-funded spots.
Seaton Renaming
If you haven’t yet done so, please fill out our survey on potentially renaming Seaton by tomorrow. The survey is here: https://forms.gle/ESMBHAf986SsAwor.

Parent Soccer League
Thanks to all the parents who signed up to join Stingers FC, our new soccer team playing in a local DC schools parent league. Our roster is capped at 15 parents and there is no more space, but if you are still interested in playing, there is a new team of parents from several local schools forming that still need players. Games are Monday at either 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30 at Garrison, starting next week. The cost is $85/player and you can sign up here. And in the spring, we’ll definitely field two Seaton teams!
What’s Coming Up
Save the date for our Fall events, and please sign up for a volunteer shift! None of these events are possible without volunteers, and it’s a great chance to meet other families and help support the PTO. You can sign up here.
