Seaton Families,
A heartfelt thank you for helping us celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers and staff deeply appreciated the thoughtful tokens of appreciation from our students and families. We are so grateful for the incredible support of our Seaton parent and caregiver community; you help make our school the special place it is for all our Stingers. It’s been a busy and joyful week at Seaton, and I am highlighting a few exciting updates from our school community:
- CAPE Assessments: Students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 have officially completed the CAPE Assessment for School Year 2024–2025. Thank you to all families for ensuring students arrived on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best each day.
- Embassy Adoption Program: Our 5th graders presented their Capstone project at the Embassy of Australia and later shared it with their families. Congratulations to all of our 5th grade students and a big thank you to their teachers and Embassy Adoption leads, Ms. McMahon and Ms. Janka, for guiding this learning experience!
- DC SCORES Highlights: The Seaton DC SCORES team had two exciting opportunities: welcoming MLS players at Audi Field and hosting a U.S. Women’s National Team player at school. Shout out to our student-athletes and DC SCORES coaches for their energy, teamwork, and spirit!
- Spring Carnival: Despite the rainy weather, we had a fantastic Spring Carnival! Thank you to our incredible parent volunteers for organizing and leading this joyful event. We made the most of moving inside, then outside again and were glad the sun made a late appearance!
Thank you – Principal Torres

Share your Feedback on the New Euclid Middle School!
We want to make sure our voices are heard as DCPS moves forward with plans for the new Euclid Middle School. A Community Working Group has been formed to collaborate directly with DCPS, and they are actively seeking input from families to help shape the vision and priorities for the new school.
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey and share your thoughts by 5pm May 30th.
Your feedback will go directly to the Community Working Group and will help inform decisions about the school’s design, academic programs, and student experience. This is an opportunity to ensure the new middle school reflects the needs and values of our community.
If you have any questions please contact your CWG representatives: Nick Nigro, nick.nigro@outlook.com, or Zandria Haines, zandria.haines@gmail.com
