To our returning families, we’re excited to welcome you back for another great year of learning and growth. Seaton School Uniforms Information
We are proud to have a flexible school uniform that supports a sense of discipline and self-respect, enables students to concentrate on learning, and reduces peer pressure.
All Seaton students are expected to come to school daily wearing a uniform. PK3 to 5th grade students should come dressed in white tops or navy bottoms.
- Tops: white polo shirts, white shirts, or any Seaton logo t-shirt.
- Bottoms: dark blue bottoms, shorts, skirts, or jumpers (below the knee).
- Footwear: any closed-toe shoes for safety reasons.

Families will receive homeroom teacher assignments during the first week of August 2026.

Getting Ready the Start of School

Events + Save the Dates
PK3 and PK4 – Play Dates
Seaton will host ECE Play Dates at The Park at Le Droit. All PK3 and PK4 Families are invited to join us Saturday August 1 and August 8 from 10am to 11am.
The Park at LeDroit is located at: 286 V Street NW, Washington DC, 20001.

Family Teacher Meet and Greet
Seaton will host a Teacher Meet and Greet for PK3 to Grade 5 families on Thursday August 20 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at Seaton @K.C. Lewis. The goal of the Meet and Greet is to welcome families to the new school year. Classroom and support teachers will welcome families to the new school year.

First Day of School for K – 5 grade students is Monday August 24
First day of School for PK3 and PK4 students is Thursday August 27

Remind is Now Parent Square
The Remind family communication platform is transitioning to ParentSquare. DCPS schools will be moving to ParentSquare for school and family communication this summer.
As part of this transition, current Remind classes are no longer active. We will share additional information with families in the coming weeks about how to access and begin using the new ParentSquare platform.

Student Bus Transportation
DCPS will provide student bus transportation for all PK3–Grade 5 students during the 2026–2027 school year. Families should complete one survey per student by Monday, July 20, 2026, to help us plan for bus assignments and arrival/dismissal procedures.

“Ms. McKenna grew up in New Jersey and attended college in London. She earned a B.A. in history from University College London in 2024, before settling in DC last year. A regular volunteer of the National Museum of Natural History, Molly supports family programming and childhood enrichment. Molly worked in the YMCA’s aftercare program in the 2025/26 school year, leading the pre-K 4 Busy Bees class. She is thrilled to join the Seaton family and support students’ experience of transportation in the coming year.”

K.C. Lewis Swing Site Update
The Seaton team visited K.C. Lewis on Wednesday, July 1, to check on the progress of the building and its readiness for next school year. We also conducted a walkthrough with Councilmember Pinto’s staff to review the construction progress and ensure the project remains on schedule.
Seaton at K.C. Lewis will have a building layout that is very similar to our current Seaton building.
