August 20 Family Newsletter! Welcome to SY 25-26!

Seaton Families,

We’re excited to share the August 20 Summer Family Newsletter to help you get ready for the upcoming school year. It includes key information, important dates, and helpful updates as we prepare for SY 2025–2026.

As we get ready to welcome students and families, we want to extend a warm greeting to all. To our returning families, we’re thrilled to have you back for another year of learning and growth. To our new families, we can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into the most amazing school community in DCPS.

We also recognize that families may feel some uncertainty with the ongoing news in our communities. Please know that the Seaton team will be “All Hands on Deck” during arrival and dismissal to ensure every Stinger feels excited, happy, and supported at school during the first day of school.

You can always reach out to me, Principal Torres, with any questions or concerns about our community at my cell phone: (202) 870-3813 (Just include your name if you send a message!)

School Policies + Opportunities!

DCPS Student Cell Phone and Electronic Device Policy

During the 25.26 school year, Seaton ES will continue to implement a cell phone free school day.  This ensures that we are protecting school time to focus on learning, wellness, and safety. Upon arrival to school each day, students will turn in their personal electronic devices to the security officer on duty to be stored for the duration of the school day.  Students may retrieve their personal devices upon dismissal (either from the regular school day or from after school).  DCPS and its staff do not assume responsibility for students’ personal cell phones or personal electronic communication devices if they are brought to school grounds. DCPS is not responsible for loss, damage, and/or theft of students’ personal cell phones or personal electronic communication devices if they are brought to school grounds.
