Seaton Families! We are thankful for all Seaton students and families. It is a privilege to support your students and collaborate with you and your family. Budget Hearing: DCPS is having a budget hearing on Tuesday Nov. 14 at 6:00 PM to gather input from the public on the upcoming fiscal year 2025. Individuals can register at https://bit.ly/dcpsbudgetrsvp25
Open House Date: We will be hosting an Open House starting November 15th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. We will host them monthly.
Local School Advisory Meeting: Join the Seaton ES LSAT meeting this coming Thursday November 16th at 4:30 PM. Families will receive the option to join the LSAT meeting virtually prior to the meeting over Remind.
Girls on the Run Seaton’s Girls On the Run 5K event will be Saturday November 19th. Please reach out to our Site lead Ms. McCan amanda.mccan@k12.dc.gov if you are interested in running with a student.
Attendance: Students who have perfect attendance during November will be invited to the fall festival hosted by the attendance committee. The fall festival will take place on Monday, November 20th, 2023 at 2 p.m. There will be music, treats, and foam pumpkin decorations! Feel free to contact Mr. Mercado (Bilingual Counselor abel.mercado@k12.dc.gov if you have any questions.
Community Cares Committee: The committee will host a Holiday Market on Tuesday Nov 21st Holiday Market with food and clothes giveaway from 3:15 – 4:00 PM in the Seaton Playground.
After School Programming: there will be no after school programming on Tuesday November 21st in anticipation of the thanksgiving break. All students will be dismissed at 3:15 PM in the Seaton Playground.
DC Scores Poetry Slam: Seaton’s DC Scores Poet will be participating in the Poetry Slam on Wednesday November 29th at Cardozo High School @ 5:30 PM.
Grade Level Events Coming Up: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades will participate in the Kid Museum Program Maker Space Project. Families will receive field trip forms from their teachers.
Multicultural Day Fundraiser: The Multicutural day committee will be selling Seaton Got That Sauce Shirts! More information is coming on how to pre-order.
