On Wednesday, October 4th, many Seaton students scootered, biked, and walked to school to participate in International Walk to School Day. In preparation for International Walk to School Day, Safe Kids DC partnered with Seasoned Settlers to conduct a school-based educational event at Seaton to raise awareness about pedestrian safety. This event is one of hundreds of International Walk to School Day events held around the world to educate children, families and community members about important safety issues, including distracted walking, crossing in the crosswalks and why it is important to pay attention to school buses and cars.
