Do you have passion for Seaton and its students? Consider running for PTO president or vice president.
You don’t need experience with the Parent Teacher Organization—just enthusiasm and energy for connecting Seaton staff and parents to make Seaton the best it can be.
You’ll have the support of experienced committee chairs, who aren’t up for re-election this year.
The president, who serves a two-year term, presides over general meetings and those of the executive board. The president also serves as the primary contact for the principal and faculty, represents the PTO at meetings outside the organization and coordinates the work of officers and committees.
The vice president helps out and fills in for the president.
Does this sound like something you would enjoy?
To be eligible, you simply need to be a parent or guardian of a Seaton student or a Seaton employee. Write a candidate statement of no more than 250 words introducing yourself and what you would do as president or vice president and send it to beckybowers@gmail.com (with a photo, if you like) by Sept. 22 at midnight.
We’ll post candidates’ statements before the vote, which will be held at the Sept. 29 PTO meeting.
Parents, guardians and Seaton employees will be eligible to vote.
