2016 PARCC scores, released this week, show strong gains for Seaton Elementary School.
Seaton was one of 29 D.C. Public Schools to improve by two percentage points or more from 2015 in both subject areas. Specifically, Seaton Elementary students boosted their scores by 5.6 percentage points in English language arts and 12.2 percentage points in math.
Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a computer-based assessment that tests what children are learning in school and helps teachers and parents know if their students are on track for success in college and careers.
For 2016, overall DCPS PARCC performance improved with a total growth of 0.6 percentage points in English language arts and 3 percentage points in math. PARCC 2016 final results can be found here.
