Seaton Elementary was recently named one of the healthiest schools in America and awarded gold-level recognition by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
Seaton, one of 14 schools given this distinction, and the only one from Washington, D.C., received the highest level of recognition for meeting the strict standards of the alliance’s Healthy Schools program.
Three hundred and twenty-eight schools across America are being recognized for “serving healthier meals and snacks, getting students moving more, offering high-quality physical and health education, and empowering school leaders to become healthy role models.” For more information about America’s Healthiest Schools, visit healthiergeneration.org.
Congratulations Seaton!
