Swing Space, Modernization, & New Middle School: Catch Up on Developments
Seaton is relocating for 2 years beginning in 2026 to allow for the school’s modernization. DC is also in the process of standing up a new middle school for Seaton families. Catch up on both developments below.

March 31, 2026 Seaton Community, In February, DCPS shared initial budget allocations for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) with principals. These funds will support our school during the 2026–2027 school year. All schools’ initial allocations, including Seaton’s, can be viewed at www.dcpsbudget.com. Our school budget allocation for SY 2026–2027, based on a projected enrollment of
Seaton Families, Enrollment opened today, March 27, for all students. All current Seaton families can now complete enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year. Current families do not need to go through the lottery process; once you have a seat at Seaton, you will complete the enrollment process each year to return.
